Mayor Anthony R. Suarez

|
Anthony traces his family's roots in town to his Great-Grandfather who moved to the Borough in the early 1940's. Anthony is a product of the town's school system, graduating from Ridgefield Memorial High School, and Saint Peter's College in Jersey City. Anthony then attended and graduated from Fordham University School of Law in New York City, and is presently a partner in a Fort Lee law firm, where he engages in the general practice of law. Anthony has always been active in public service which includes serving as a Deputy Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus; volunteering time at a soup kitchen; past Vice President for Ridgefield UNICO; Minister of the Word, money counter and past member of the Parish Council for Saint Matthew's Church; and past membership in the Ridgefield Manufacturer's Association. Anthony is proud of the record he has accomplished as Mayor during the past eight years, and in particular, over the course of the present year, where in only a short period of time the new Democratic majority has been able to slash spending, and continue to maintain the high level of services we have all been accustomed to as Ridgefield residents. Anthony is excited about continuing his tenure as Mayor for another term where he will continue to look for ways to keep taxes stable and improve services for all residents. Anthony presently resides on Oak Street, only one block away from where he grew up, with his wife Catherine, daughter Laura Anne and son Matthew Anthony. Both of his children attend the Ridgefield school system. |
