Russell Castelli

Russ is a long time resident of Ridgefield and an active member of the Borough. He is a retired Electrical Engineer. He is married to Donna and the father of four children; Elana, Michael, Joy and Matthew as well as a grandfather. Donna is a life long resident of Ridgefield and a member of the Ridgefield Youth Commission and Recreation Commission.

The one thing Russ is most proud of and is dedicated to is his current position as Council President. He believes this is an honor and is committed to doing the right thing for the Borough of Ridgefield. For this reason alone he looks forward to keeping taxes stable and maintaining services at the highest level. Russ has previously served the Borough as a baseball coach in the R.B.A.O, a member of the Recreation Commission, the Chairman of the Rent Leveling Commission; member of the Environmental Commission, Ridgefield Planning Board and a volunteer with the Office of Emergency Management where he helped residents in times of distress and need.

Currently, Russ is very active in Ridgefield. He presently is the Chairman of the Fire, Ambulance and Recreation Committees; Liaison to the Rent Leveling and Library Boards, and Liaison to the Youth Commission. He also sits on the committees for the Police Department, the Department of Public Works, Emergency Management, and the Finance Committee among others. Russ looks forward to using his past experiences and interest in public service to benefit all of the residents of the Borough of Ridgefield. His belief and strong convictions of doing everything possible for the citizens of Ridgefield is his main goal.
